Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can I close my browser window after the replatforming process has begun?

Absolutely. You can close your browser window any time after once shopping cart migration has started. Current migration(s) status is reflected on the "My Migrations" page in your account.

  • Will my migrated entities types look as in my existing store backend?

Cart2Cart provides the possibility to import products, customers, and orders from your e-store database, but not your backend. That's why, no matter what filters or other configurations are set within your admin panel, the migrated data types will look exactly as it does in the database, not your store backend.

  • Can I be sure of my information security when using Cart2Cart?

Cart2Cart performs the replatforming using a separate secure Hetzner server, and the information is not stored after the migration has been finalized. Cart2Cart does not import credit card records and passwords. We use secure HTTPS protocol for all connections; only authorized staff can access the replatforming process. • Do I risk losing data store information from my existing shop during the migration?

The Source (current) store information aren't affected by the replatforming at all. In layman's terms, the data (products, customers, orders, etc.) is only copied and pasted into your Target. So, the replatforming process is totally secure for the e-store that is migrated, and there is no risk of losing any of the information. We guarantee 100% uptime and information safety during the migration with Cart2Cart. In other words, you can keep selling while your Source store records is being migrated to the new cart solution.

  • Does replatforming influence impact the speed of my e-store?

No, database migration doesn't affect either the speed, or the performance of your current store. Cart2Cart just copies the records from your existing and pastes it on the new one. It doesn't affect in any way, so it can run as usual.

  • Why is my data import taking so long?

The time|duration of data migration depends on many outside factors we can't control. The reasons causing a slow migration might vary for different types of shopping carts platforms. More info.
